Octopus ocellatus trap pots called ‘Iidako-tsubo’

These iidako-tsubo trap pots were laid in the sea to attract octopus. Octopi mistake the holes in the pots for crevices, which is where they make their dens. This clever method utilizes the natural instinct of the octopus.
