Ode to Tulips

In a residency at Street Art Museum Amsterdam, Chicago based artist Eric Lee painted this work ‘Ode to Tulips’. The Tulips obviously represent Holland, but also the large Turkish community in the neighbourhood. The piece is unintentionally interactive, with a recent addition from the building's resident. A bunch of pink flowers has been added to the composition, highlighting the local adoption of the work, and the freedom in which street art celebrates.
