Old Man of the Yellow Land (黄土地的老人) was created by Liu Wenxi, the founder and representative of Yellow Land School Paintings. He used dry ink (焦墨) to express the wrinkles and light ink (淡墨) to describe the structure, combining techniques of western sketch with freshness and simplicity from Chinese folk arts.
