A watch key of gold and crystal. The small ivory brig inside the crystal is a model of Oliver Hazard Perry's flagship in the Battle of Lake Erie, either the LAWRENCE or the NIAGARA. Presented to FDR in November 1942 by Commander Lewis L. Strauss, Bureau of Ordnance, Navy Department, a distant cousin of Commodore Perry. Franklin D.
