In the "One Minute Sculptures" series, The viewers are invited to do more than simply look at the works of art from the space around them. They can experience the works and thenselves in new ways. In the form of drawings or brief instructions the visitors is encouraged to become himself a work of art, a sculpture of a minute. The one minute sculptures unleash a generally funny, often embarrassing and pathetic effect, which at the same time opens space for a situation of encounter and empathy. With this series, that begin in the early 1990s, Erwin anticipated the era of self-promotion and self-promotion in social networks in 20 years and showed that the tendency to personality cult was latent, seeking a way to become palpable, visible, three-dimensional and also ephemeral. If Andy Warhol gave us 15 minutes of fame, Erwin Wurm tells us that one minute is more than enough.
