Painting on Glass

This painting on glass depicts the Crucified Christ. The composition is symmetrical, with Christ’s body positioned vertically on the cross. Floral bouquets are arranged on either side. The object served a decorative function as part of the interior decoration in a peasant cottage.
The exhibit is part of a collection of several glass paintings originating from Lower Silesia. It arrived in the Kalisz region as a result of migration and cultural exchange.
