Alfredo Rizzotti was born in Serrana (SP) in 1909. He attended, as a free student, the Albertina Academy of Turin and the Novaresca Professional School in Italy from 1924 to 1935. Upon returning to Brazil, he moved to São Paulo, where he got in touch with the artists of the Santa Helena Group. He took part in the exhibitions of the Família Artística Paulista in 1939 and 1940. He won the Bronze Medal (1942) and Silver Medal (1947) in the National Salon of Fine Arts; he also won the Bronze Medal at the Paulista Salon of Modern Art (1963). He died in São Paulo (SP) in 1972.
