The concept of place is not clear-cut for many writers. Some deliberately write in a way that obscures the precise setting of the narrative while others feel an impulse to create a sense of place as a means of re-familiarisation, or even in response to nostalgia. In much of African literature, Authors infuse their work with cultural signposts such as folklore and proverbs. This panel discussion explored the concept of 'home' for the african writer living outside Africa and how it explicitly features in their work. The Panelists included Taiye Selasi, EC Osondu, Chris Abani and Ainehi Edoro. It was moderated by Ainehi Edoro
