Legnica, Poland

The panorama of Legnica in the upper half of the card refers to the veduta from the 17th century, as evidenced by the way the city is presented from the north-west, the gothic form of the church of St. Jana and burgher houses in the place of the northern wing of the Knight's Academy. Demolition of the Gothic Church of St. John took place in 1714, therefore it should be assumed that the veduta was created earlier. In the lower part of the card, the panorama of Legnica is accompanied by the coat of arms of the von Ponickau family and the personification of Grace with a cornucopia with a chalice and a book.
