Júlio Pomar, a board member of MUD Juvenil, was incarcerated
by the political police of the Salazar dictatorship in 1947 for four
months. This imprisonment resulted in expressive drawings
and paintings that show the hardship of incarceration. In this
painting, we see the visiting room, where the prisoners received
visitors, with a screen separating them both, always under close
surveillance.
