Left: This is a reproduction of a children’s baeja from the late Joseon period in the collection of the Museum of Korean Embroidery. Patches of different colors and textures cut into squares are laid out uniformly, bringing out a sense of freedom within strict order.

Right: The rainbow-striped collar of this cloth is very cute. On the body is a hand-embroidered design that symbolizes luck to wish for good health and long life.
