Engraving of Patrick Henry made in 1862 from an original painting by Alonzo Chappel (1828–1887), which is now lost. This engraving was prepared for the two-volume set, "National Portrait Gallery of Eminent Americans" (1862) by Evert Augustus Duyckinck, published by Johnson, Fry & Co. of New York. A copy of Patrick Henry’s signature is printed beneath the engraving.
