Bronze sculpture representing a peasant holding in his arms two children. The male is trying to take a fruit from his little sister's hands. The scene has to be referred to a familiar and domestic environment with popular subjects. The basis is realized in marble. The artist is Leonardo Bistolfi, coming from Casale Monferrato, in Piedmont, place where he realized the War Memorial. He was senator of the Kingdom of Italy during the XXVI parliamentary term. His sculptural works are influences by Rodin and Medardo Rosso.
