A statue of the Virgin of the Immaculate Conception, also known as the Virgin of the Solar Morro, is located at the top of the natural viewpoint of the Chorrillos district, in Lima. It was brought from France, placed in 1904 and inaugurated in 1905 in order to honor the fallen soldiers in the War of the Pacific. Likewise, the Virgin of the Immaculate Conception is the patron saint of the fishermen of the district cove.
