Photo of Yoon Dongju taken together with Jeong Byeonguk. Jeong Byeonguk was the poet’s junior in school. He entered Yonhui College two years after Yoon Dongju and got close with the poet as they lived together in the Pinson Hall dormitory and in the boarding houses of Nusang-dong. Jeong Byeonguk offered a handwritten poetry book of his sijo (traditional Korean poem comprised of three lines of 14-16 syllables each), which expressed his feelings, as a graduation gift for Yoon Dongju. The poet also offered his handwritten poetry book for charity, “Sky, Wind, Stars, and Poem” to Jeong Byeonguk.
