The woman is identified as Marie "Effie" Haist neé Lindaberry. The dress is a dark solid colour, with a white collar. The dress reaches the floor, covering the shoes, and has long sleeves.
On the back of the cardboard the photograph is attached to, there is an inscription. It reads: "Madame Marie Haist (neé Effie Lindaberry). I was 70 years old 5th of April 1942. The dress + belongings was my great-grandmother and mother's wedding dress more than 100 years old. Also, the white-linen p_____ was my great-grandfather's wedding p_____: more than 150 years old. Great-grandfather + Mother Snyder. The shawl + neck handkerchief belongs to the dress she wore."
