The so-called a candlelight demonstration or demonstration, also known as "Bratislava Good Friday," was a peaceful gathering to promote civil and religious rights and freedoms. It was held on 25 March 1988 in the capital of Slovakia, Bratislava, on the Hviezdoslav square. Today, it is considered as the most expressive manifestation of the power of the secret church in the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic.
