A pictorial map showing the fire-break line at Soryeongwon tomb area where the tomb of Yeongjo’s birthmother Lady Choi (1670-1718) lay in 1753 (Year 29 of Yeongjo). Fire break line refers to the area where they deliberately burn certain area outside the tomb area in order to prevent fire from spreading to the tomb. It is estimated to have been produced after Yeongjo raised his mother’s tomb to the status of Soryeongwon in 1753. The red line mark in the picture is the fire break line the circumference of which is indicated 20 li.

  • Korean caption: 1753년(영조 29) 영조의 생모 숙빈최씨(淑嬪催氏, 1670~1718)의 묘소가 위치한 소령원(昭寧園) 일대의 산불 경계선을 표시한 지형도. 화소(火巢)란 능원이나 묘 등에 산불이 번지는 것을 막기 위해 묘역으로부터 일정한 거리 밖의 초목을 불살라 버린 곳을 말한다. 1753년에 영조가 생모 숙빈최씨의 묘를 소령원으로 승격한 뒤에 제작한 것으로 추정된다. 그림에 붉은 선으로 표시한 부분이 화소의 영역으로 둘레가 20리로 표기되어 있다.
