This type of generic stem and leaves representation means 'vegetative growth', plant fertility, for the Tukano indigenous groups of the region.
Plant depictions are also common in La Lindosa, which is not surprising given that the Amazon is one of the world's most diverse habitats. It is home to approximately 40,000 plant species, including a wide range of edible, medicinal, and bio-active plants.
