Pleated fan. Parchment and silk leaf, gilded and painted with gouache. Obverse: scene of playing maidens against a ruin, in the style of Louis XVI. Rococo border of shells, latticework, foliage, fantastic forms and scenes. Reverse: plain silk. Sticks and guards careved, painted and filled with mother-of-pearl. Feather design and scenes.
