Po of Seonbi as Traditional Clothes by Hanbok Artisans

The single-layered dopo in light green made of plain-woven silk is a reproduction of a dopoworn by King Yeongjo. King Yeongjo’s dopo was found in 1979 when the storage cavity inside the statue of Avalokitesvara of Pagyesa Templewas opened. Inside the back of King Yeongjo’s dopo was found a writing in ink done in 1740, the 16th year of King Yeongjo’s reign. The sharp pointed middle part of the collar is characteristic of royal clothing, and the wide sleeves project a sense of the dignity of King Yeongjo.
