#14 ran between Portland and Lewiston ME from 1914 to 1933 when the railway was abandoned due to the economic effects of the depression and severe competition from automobiles on the newly paved highway that paralleled the railway line. After abandonment, the car body served as a roadside diner, then a summer dwelling at Sabattus Lake. In 1969, two lumber yards donated sufficient building supplies and volunteers constructed a replacement dwelling so that the Museum could obtain the body for the Museum.
