The picture portrays Tachibana Muneshige in his prime shooting an arrow. He was known as a skilled archer. The painting has the signature and seal of Yusetsu. The note written on the box containing this scroll tells that it was presented by Nakata Dendayu in 1840 with a poem celebrating Muneshige’s continuing fame.
