Black and white photographic postcard of the U.S. Post Office in Charlotte, NC. at 401 West Trade Street. Also shows the Shipp Monument, which was erected in honor of Charlottean Lt. William Ewen Shipp (1861-98) who was killed in the Battle of Santiago in the Spanish-American War. The post office was demolished in 1915 for a more modern facility to be built.
