The 1st Ibero-American Cinema Week took place in 1975, and included informative and retrospective categories, showing a total of 25 feature-length movies and 8 shorts from 10 different countries. One more Ibero-American Cinema Week was held before it was renamed the Festival of Ibero-American Cinema. At that point, it was no longer organized by the Huelva Cinema Club, but taken over by the competition’s traditional sponsors.
