The main post office building in Legnica was erected in the years 1890-1892 according to the design of the Berlin architects Endego and Bäckmann. It was erected at the intersection of Piastowska and Głogowska streets, on the site of the former building from 1849. The official handover of the new Legnica post office took place on March 29, 1893.
