Raymond Scott sits In front of part of his Wall of Sound in this late 1950's publicity photo. The vertically mounted tape decks in this photo are of the state of the art
Ampex multi-tracks from the late 1950’s--early 1960’s. The sloped ones are Presto decks, another professional stereo deck of the day. But in
addition to the tape decks in this photo there were many racks of theequipment that generated the sounds.
