Do you remember the giant duck-shaped cup that stood here in the summer of 2004? The cup was Hung Yi's first attempt at creating a grand-scale three-dimensional work, titled “A Cup Filled with Blessings.” In these four years, Hung Yin not only has participated in many public art installations, and also continues to pursuit in the usages of diverse media in his works. Hung Yi's style comes from the environment that he is in and also his own experiences, and some of them come from original colors of the temples and shrines of Taiwan, which are bold, vivid, and filled with joyful sentiments. In 2008 Hung Yin once again returns here to create a garden that is filled with life and emotions. Inside the garden, the cats, dogs, ducks, birds are all icons that are trademarks of Hung Yi's works, and it is here that these creatures gather to reminisce about the origin of art and to remember a cup filled with blessings and to recollect the footprints and nostalgias of the pass times.
