This document records the distribution of the property held by Yun Joi, a concubine of Kim Useong, to her two daughters and granddaughter in equal shares, based on her husband’s will in 1645. The inheritors included her eldest daughter Yeoyang, the second daughter Gwasim, and the granddaughter Mugaeun. This record specifies that the granddaughter was included in the distribution in consideration of her filial devotion to her grandfather, who treated her as his own daughter. Each inheritor received around ten majigi of farmland in equal shares, but there is no mention of slaves in this record. The part describing the land inherited by Mugaeun uses the term beondap , alternatively written as bandap , which refers to land that was converted from field into rice paddy. Given that the bequeather referred to herself as Joithe widow and that the document specified the names of her daughters and granddaughter, it appears that this document is a record of property distribution by a commoner family.
