Rectory of the University of Porto

This is one of the city’s finest neoclassical buildings, built in 1803 under the design of José da Silva Costa, and modified in 1807 by Carlos Amarante, to house the Royal Academy of Maritime and Trade Affairs, subsequently the Porto Polytechnic Academy. Since 2007 this building has been the site of the Rectory of the University of Porto.
