This spoon was used to prepare the corn beer that would be drunk at festivities and ritual celebrations. The handle of the spoon has at one end the face of a woman and at the other female sexual organs, depicted in relief, probably with the intention of symbolizing when the spoon was tipped that its contents came from a woman.
