Pin, unit insignia. Single piece of silver/tin metal in the shape of a shield with flowing ribbon below. Shield has profile of a growling panther in black. “Come out fighting” is on the ribbon.

Insignia of the 761st Tank Battalion, known as the Black Panthers. The 761st, during World War II, was a segregated Black command that served in the United States Third Army. The unit weas reactivated in 1947 and served as an integrated command until deactivated in 1955.
