Intaglio engraving possibly made during the first quarter of the 19th century, by Marcelo Cabello y Llave (1773-1842), master engraver from Lima. His documented production goes from 1796 to 1827 and develops all genres: portrait, religious print, plans and burial mound.
The print that was part of the book Novena of Our Lady of the Rosary of Santo Domingo... printed in Lima by the Orphan Children's Printing Office, 1807.
Following Ricardo Estabridis (2002), the Virgin of the Rosary wears a suit of triangular composition, in One hand holds the Child God and in the other the rosary. It is located on a truncated-pyramidal pedestal of neoclassical style, with a garland. Six little angels surround her, holding the rosary amidst radiance.
