Resurrection

This panel was the central compartment of a polyptych intended for the Silk Weavers Guild in Venice. In fact, Lorenzo Veneziano had trained in Padua and Bologna where he certainly had the opportunity to study the artistic culture on the other side of the Alps, as seen in the poses of the characters in the foreground and the refined elegance with which the garments are rendered.
