Robert Warren was postmaster of Niagara for almost 40 years. He was instrumental in the establishment of the Niagara Assembly, even going as far as offering up his farm on River Road as the site for the Canadian Chautauqua. Eventually, he purchased the former Crooks property and transferred it to the Niagara Assembly.
