Ryerson Park, located in the Chautauqua area of Niagara-on-the-Lake, is located near Lake Ontario and One Mile Creek (or Landsdowne Lake as it was known at the time of the photograph). During the Niagara Assembly years, the park was a place where visitors could picnic, go for a row on the creek, lake or river, and swim or fish.
