Saint Benedict of Nursia and Saint Scholastica

This holy conversation between the two founding siblings of the male and female branches of the Benedictine religious order comes from the collection of the priest Pere Valls (1848-1925). It is an example of the copies made by the artist during his stay in the Academia de San Fernando in Madrid of the elaborate baroque inventions by the Neapolitan painter Luca Giordano (1634-1705).
