The face and hands of this polychrome and gilt image of Saint Francis Xavier are made of ivory while the rest is made in wood. He is shown standing on a simple wooden pedestal with outstretched arms probably holding a crucifix (now lost) in his right hand as is usually depicted in images of the Saint. He wears a gilt-edged white surplice over a gold-bordered black cassock along with a gilt painted stole around his neck. This image of Saint Francis Xavier is also shown wearing a silver crown-like radiating halo
