They come from Augsburg and were made in the shape of hexagons decorated with hunting scenes. In such a small area, apart from deer, dogs and forest vegetation, clear landscapes appear in the background. Naturalistic and very detailed performances prove the virtuosity and high artistic level of the performer. Their high class is confirmed by numerous references in the literature. Knowledge of their origins is valuable - these salt cellars were part of one of the best collections belonging to Baron Meyer de Rothschild.
