The four pieces from a dismantled polyptych represent saints Sebastian and Paul, Anthony the Abbot and Roch in the upper register, saint Bernardino and a worshipper, and saint Clare with devotees in the lower one. Morone manifests a ready narrative capacity that implies knowledge of Carpaccio and Venetian pictures. His confident hand at portraiture, revealed on many occasions throughout his career, is already clear here. These are very early works which come from a Franciscan church, perhaps Santa Chiara.
