From 1964-1966, Andy Warhol filmed around 500 slow motion Screen Tests on 16mm film in his dowtown NYC studio, the Silvery Factory, inviting a variety of regulars and newcomers to the Factory to silent, sustained encounters with the camera lens. Shown for the first time in public, "Screen Tests 1964-66" puts Bob Dylan, Allen Ginsberg, Lou Reed, Harry Smith, and Edie Sedgwick, among others, onto the billboards of Times Square, bringing these iconic New Yorkers back to life.
