Scroll of Oath-taking Rites by 20 Meritorious Subjects after Awards Presentation in 1694

This scroll commemorates the oath-taking rite by 20 Gaeguk to Bosa meritorious subjects and their children after restoring the title of Bosa meritorious subject (1680) in 1694(year 20 of Sukjong). Bosa meritorious subjects were annulled from the title in 1689 Gisahwanguk and were restored back in 1694 Gabsulhwanguk. This scroll was made then. It contains the oath of 20 subjects and their memorial addresses. The text is an oat made at ritual on 30th August 1680, and the list contains the meritorious subjects. At the end, a fine-writing ‘Gisapahun Gabsulbokhun’ is written, and King’s seal ‘Simyeongjibo’ is stamped.
