This book has been copied and translated into Korean from Seo Yu-mun’s travel book. Seo Yu-mun, who was a civil servant in late Joseon period, was sent to Beijing in October 1798 (year 22 of Jeongjo) as one of the foreign envoys, and came back on 2nd April the next year. This book is a Korean translated version of Seo Yu-mun’s 160 days of Beijing trip, but the original Chinese version does not exist anymore. It is notable that this journal was translated into Korean unlike other travel books.

- Korean caption: 조선후기 문신 서유문이 지은 연행록을 한글로 번역하고 필사한 여행기이다. 서유문은 1798년(정조 22) 10월 삼절연공겸사은사(三絶年貢兼謝恩使)의 서장관으로 북경에 파견되었다가 이듬해 4월 2일 귀국했다. 이 책은 서유문이 160일 간의 북경 여정을 일기 형식으로 쓴 기행문을 한글로 번역한 것으로, 번역 대본인 한문본은 현전하지 않는다. 여느 기행문과 달리 한글로 번역되었다는 점에서 주목된다.
