On December 10, 2003, the inter-religion spiritual figure and the world peace figure, Sri Chinmoi, visited Surakarta Palace. Sri Chinmoi visited with 50 followers coming from 27 nations to award Sinuhun Paku Buwono XII with 'Lifang Up The World With A Oness-Heart Award'. It is a recognition of Sinuhun as A Father Simbolizes the World Peace. Similar awards were previpusly given to world figures and leaders such as: Nelson Mandela, Mother Theresa, Muhammad Ali, Steffi Graf, Sting, Lady Diana, Michael Gorbachev, etc.
