Simón Ruiz determined in his testament the making of three praying funerary sculptures in alabaster that would represent him and his two wives: María de Montalvo and Mariana de Paz. The sculptures show high-ranking figures dressed for great occasions: Simón Ruiz with the traditional collar with a high ruff, leggings, doublet and short cape, and his two wives with similar collars and full skirts with sleeves that hang under their arms, covered by garments open in front.
