I am interested in thinking about my work as a construction process that begins with the direct contact with a number of linked elements. The collection of elements, objects of my interest and their possible playful combination carry out projects immersed in each of their micro-worlds. To recognize the forms that are kept in our daily life is to rethink the place as a form and how this is related to the ones that surround it. To learn to use those preexisting forms is to evidence the spaces as stages. To frame a portion, clip, segment, rebuild, are part of a frequent and present vocabulary in my works. I develop part of my art practice by doing collages. I think about this technique as a way of thinking the construction of the artwork. The “cut and paste” shows opulent aspirations of transformation, manipulation, and presentation in a new reading of images that were already manipulated.
