The first drawing is a representation of an old photograph –one of the first ones taken with flash– of some wild animals, captured at the moment when, surprised by the shot of the camera in the middle of the darkness, start to run off. The second shows the same representations, but only partially: part of the drawing is blocked, incomplete, obscured, glitched. Instead, we see the emptiness, a surface covered by some material that appears as the evidence of a labor, the temporality of a repetitive and monotonous action. In this work, we find contraposed the reference to a universe of images that fluctuates between the anonymous origin and the subjective world of memory and self-reference. The drawings become critical signs, expose their own objectuality and show their artifice. Absurd gesture and physical manifestation of a broader interest, linked to an investigation on temporality and forms, through which we come to understand the world.
