Between the years 1940 and 1966 Crocetti has modeled a series of young women, both models and dancers in a resting pose. The Sitting Girl made in 1946 rests an elbow on her leg and turns her head behind in a three-quarter position along her body’s profile. Venturoli writes that “it’s the only work by Crocetti in which the feminine vitality drifts into a more sensual one in a lover like contemplation”.
