The distant look, to observe the world around me, the daily life, from estrangement. The image unfolds, inverts and darkens… By segments, the silhouettes fade and fuse (in space? In light?).
Painting is my way to understand, to relate with the reality that surrounds me, yet at the same time seems far, distant. Painting gets me closer to it. From the pictorial language, I can explore that reality, its space, time and affective sensations.
A nostalgic atmosphere invades everything, an insistence in frailty. “To paint your image is to insist on making you present as you leave”.
