Soviet prisoners of war in front of their tent

Despite snow and freezing temperatures, Soviet prisoners of war in Nuremberg were forced to live out the winter of 1941-42 in tents. The prisoner of war camp in Langwasser was located on a part of the Rally Grounds that had been a camp for participants at Nazi Party Rallies during the National Socialist era (1933-1938).
